Arguing the point doesn't matter - it is what it is and time will tell if its a good idea or not and if not it will more than likely be shut down - but in the meantime, thank God it's basically peace tiime so let the experiment continue!!!

As a Marine combat veteran, allow me to observe that the military will always fight during a war in the way that they trained in peacetime. This "experiment" will become reality during the next war and girls will be drafted (compulsory military service). They WILL serve. They WILL die in radically disproportionate numbers and in disproportionately horrifying ways. Imagine fielding an NFL football team that is forced to accept 50% women players. I don't need to tell you that these women would be seriously injured in almost every play and their team would be handily defeated in a humiliating way.
