Democrats voted for the act 153-91 in the House and 46-21 in the Senate. The Democratic resistance to the legislation came almost exclusively from the representatives of the 11 states that had made up the Confederacy during the Civil War. Steve of CA, you may have inadvertently disproven my theory that I would be unable to find a shred of logic, reason and intelligence in the comments section of this grotesquely simplistic, misinformed and spurious article.

The verdict is in: The mainstream media believes that Derrick Bell is not a story. They believe it so deeply that they've had members of the team on national television repeatedly; they've spent thousands of words covering it; and they've mentioned it on radio and the Internet incessantly. All to say that there's nothing to see here.

Unfortunately, for President Obama, there's something to see here.
