The Coming Debate Among American Catholics

Rick Yes you're wrong. In MY community anyway. There are MANY organizations that CALL themselves catholic and teach heresy. Been going on since the FIRST century. BUT it does not matter a WHIT if people don't go by "strict Catholic doctrine" The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches TRUTH. HOWEVER, I believe you are the vicim of LIBERAL Catholics like Pelosi. Many have been brainwashed by the liberals to believe we cannot FORCE our faith on them or pass laws based on our faith. Yes that is a problem. Doesn't change the TRUTH. You are right that many do not attend Church regularly. THOSE would be the ones who depart from Church teaching. It's a problem but we keep trying to educate prefessed Catholics.
