An Open Letter to Post-Abortive Women

It is and should be always appropriate to protect the innocent. Lecture them as if they were children? The two parties involved in creating life were acting like children in need of guidance, correction and wisdom, especially from those who have borne children. This is not a political issue, it is a moral issue, and I, for one, will insist it is always part of the American discussion.

You may be trying to "warn" me, but I don't need your warning, thank you. Too many of your fellow Christians are indeed eager to judge me, judge anyone who isn't doing exactly what they'd like, and would like to get the Govt to impose their views on me. Sell crazy somewhere else.

Pot calling the kettle black, Bruce. You are lecturing and attempting to influence just as much as Christians, with more vicious words and name calling, judgmental conclusions about pro-life, pro-family Christian writers on this article and others. You have lots of opinions based on your own observations and discount attempts to defend life and honor God. Truth doesn't need to defend itself, nor does God and both are revealed in time. Others have posted, and I say again, just because you are blind to God's truth doesn't mean His truth doesn't exist. I am sorry you feel judged and react so poorly. Most of us are trying to warn you, not judge you.

I think most of us would be happy to have a "discussion", its just when the vast majority of the messaging from Republicans about this takes the tone of a "lecture" to children, you're going to have to decide whether you're more eager to lecture or to influence the outcome.

I write these words chiefly to women and girls who have had an abortion. Still, it is my humble hope and honest prayer that anyone weighing this life-versus-death choice might also read them with an open mind and a hearing heart.

I share these truths in love. Some of you already know them. Others deny them.

Yet truths they remain.

It is through obedience to Christ and in the authority of His Spirit that I write you this letter. It may be difficult to read, but I pray you will read it.

First, let us dispense with the oft-asserted notion that,...
