Good News for GOP: The Party of Grownups

Right Wingnuts Who Predicted Doom for America Now Saying ‘We Can Survive 4 More Years of Obama’ Taking a look around the wingnut blogosphere today, we find the partisan parrots all telling each other not to give in to despair, that America will — somehow — survive another four years of Barack Obama. Strange, isn’t it, that only a few days ago the very same people were absolutely convinced that the re-election of Obama would lead to the total destruction of the US?

I don’t believe for a second that the Republican Party is going to be able to reverse this downward spiral; the appeals to racism and xenophobia are far too ingrained in the very identity of the GOP. I predict that the trends will go in the exact opposite direction — even more extremist — and the party will continue purging moderates and pandering to the far right and the religious right, only more so. I believe the only changes we’ll see will be changes for the worse. It would be wonderful if I’m proven wrong, but I won’t be.

I'm voting straight GOP because the GOP knows that government doesn't work. It is simple logic. Think of it this way. If you're hiring a bus driver you wouldn't want the (Democrat) guy who loves the bus and thinks it's the answer for getting people around and will waste time taking care of the bus and driving it all around nice. You'd want to hire the (Republican) guy who knows that buses are stupid, and everyone should drive cars, so he's going to crash the bus and set it on fire, so no one can try and use it again because BUSES DON"T WORK. See? Proof buses don't work. This one is just a useless burnt out shell that someone crashed and then set on fire. Can't get around in THAT, stupid Democrat. Buy a car. --RetiredGeek
Here's what Republicans have been trained to say about Afghanistan. "More Americans have died in Afghanistan in Obama's one term than died in Bush's 2 terms." Yes, Bush took his eye off the ball and waged an eight year social engineering project in Iraq getting 4700 Americans killed there. Meanwhile the Afgan theatre of ops simply languished and let the Taliban regroup. An epic failure of Republican leadership. Obama re-tooled the effort against terrorism by getting out of Iraq and bringing the fight to the Taliban in Afghanistan!
Let's see...how many Americans died in Libya...and how many Americans died in 'Fast and Furious.' Add all that up and compare that to how many Americans died on 9-11, because the Republican party was preoccupied with ginning up a war against Russia in 2001 by scrapping the ABM Treaty. People, WAKE-UP!!!
Mike grew up in Little Rock Arkansas where as a boy locals threatened to lynch blacks when they tried to go to white schools. When Mike was growing up, the Governor of Arkansas used the State National Guard to block nine blacks from a Little Rock school until President Eisenhower had to send in the 101st AirBorne and nationalize the Arkansas National Guard. So it's easy to understand how today Mike Huckabee has that old Little Rock segregationist view that says black people should not be allowed to do what white people do. Be President of the United States for example.
Mike Huckabee lied about Obama growing up in Kenya. Is he a Christian? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIwhvs9yI1M Does the Huckster place the Republican party above God? Thou shalt not bear false witness against they neighbor!!! Another commandment forgotten by the GOP! Mike Huckabee's childhood in North Korea shaped his world views, that's were he learned that if you tell a lie eneough it becomes the truth. The Right Wing's obsession with the President's childhood is more about race than anything else. You have to cut Huckabee some slack on the Obama is from Kenya and likes Mau Mau.

And, yes, the Republican Medicare Prescription is a redistribution of wealth from the young to the old.

Republican socialism is and has been their airline company bailout, their auto company bailouts, their NON-regulated bank bailouts, their "No Child Left Behind" program, their socialist Medicare Prescription scheme, their proclivity for farm subsidies, their federally REGULATED bank bailouts, their insurance company bailouts, their 'Faith-Based Initiatives', their ethanol mandates, their endless pork-barrel spending, their Wall Street investment firm bailout, their $85 billion AIG bailout; additionally, Republicans believe in social engineering in Iraq and nation building in foreign countries more than here in the good ole USA.

Republicans have been instructed to charge Obama with being a "socialist." Once the tables are turned and Republicans are charged with being "a bunch of socialists," these same card-carrying Republicans have been instructed to obfuscate the meaning of Socialism. Republicans now say "Show me ONE definition of Socialism in a reference book that says getting Social Security is the definition of Socialism?" or they strenuously deny that the 'redistribution' of wealth is socialism. All this obfuscation is intended to hide the fact that the Republican party has a slobbering love affair with their brand of socialism.
Let's talk about 9-11. Republicans of today want to distance themselves from the false premises the Republican Party used to invade Iraq. The Republican Party linked Saddam Hussein with 911. George W. Bush and Richard Cheney never explicitly said Saddam Hussein plotted 911, but they often parroted something like the following; 1) "The 9-11 attacks were plotted by evil men." immediately followed or preceded by; 2) "Saddam Hussein is an evil man." George W. Bush and Richard Cheney would say those two sentences together many times. Fox News would frequently air clips of them repeating those same two sentences. The non-discerning viewer would figure that Saddam Hussein plotted 9-11.
