The Silliest Stories of 2010

About the TSA pat downs, I would suspect the traveling public on the day before Thanksgiving probably chose expediency rather than security. Most probably wanted to get on the plane and the plane leave on time.

A New Year of Republican Mistakes

Ditto the comments below. If I had the power, I would throw all 535 of them out, go through some phone books in some places and randomly pick 535 names to take their place. Surely they could do not worse than the idiots in power now - ESPECIALLY those compromising Republicans. It so hurts to have defeat snapped from the jaws of victory! I know many may not like Sarah Palin but, for me, if she is on the ticket, I am voting for her. Huckabee - maybe - Barbour - NOT and he is from my state. I want all the "establishment" types out and completely new blood in!

Airport "Security"?

I see & hear many pundits & others speak against the scans & pat downs. They say refuse both and you cannot be arrested. Fine, the TSA has said tou will NOT get on the plane. No one has addressed my dilemma in that I HAVE to get on the plane to get to my job overseas. No one has given me an alternative.

I travel back and forth to the Middle East on a regular basis. I have no issue with the body scanner. Why you ask is that. I am a 63 year old man with sagging belly & other sagging body parts so if someone wants to get his jollies looking at that, then look & I hope he or she does not go blind by the sight! Radiation you say, again too old to care. I would rather the body scanner than to be felt up for sure, that is beyond my tolerance!

As one that works in the Middle East and travels back and forth monthly, there is one statement that Mr. Williams made on O'Reilly that I do disagree with. He referred to "Muslim garb". I kind of doubt there is "Muslim garb". The only truly Muslim garb might be the burkah worn by the strict practicing Muslim folks. The men could be wearing anything from the Arab dish dash as it is called to business suits or other normal western attire. Mr. Williams might have more correctly referred to garb that is Arabic or Pakistani or Indian or Iranian or some other country in appearance. Yes the area is predominantly Muslim but there are other religions in the region such as Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, etc.

Why Pastors Punt on Political Issues

Brother Doug I have to agree with you but I do believe the biggest reason some or most pastors do not get involved is reason # 6, the Tax Exempt Status. I do believe if more pastors stood up and took stands on ALL the issues before us, the church would be much better for the country than it has been and is being.

The only reason this suicide made national news is because it involved a homosexual that killed himself. If it had been a heterosexual encounter I doubt anyone would have made as much noise about it.

If Palin Runs for President

As of right now, if she were on the ticket, I would vote for her. I cannot see any others I would support at this time. Certainly not any incumbent in Congress that wanted to throw his or her hat in the ring.

I remember my dad using DDT when I was a young fellow. All I know is that it worked on all kinds of critters we did not want in the house or garden. It seems the environmentalists won that one at the expense of millions or billions of HUMAN lives.
