Yes the point is at the top of your head. Being in the insurance business for 30 years, the scenario you pose Lilly is incorrect. When one transfers from one policy to the other (as you outlined in the example with John Smith), there is no, I repeat...no pre-existing. And in large companies that are self-insured, pre-existing is not included even if the employee or family member was not covered by health insurance prior to their hire date. And when will you libs get it through your head that health insurance, life insurance, homes, cars, food, nice clothing, expensive vacations, etc, is a commodity ...not a right.
