I read yesterday on a Yahoo blog thousands of comments on the forthcoming LCROSS lunar impact, and besides the vast numbers of comments objecting to the 79 million dollar cost, many were fretting over fears that the moon would explode, that it would split into pieces, that it would be pushed out of its orbit and either crash into the earth or produce disastrous tides, that debris ejected from the Moon would strike the earth and result in widespread destruction, that we were destroying the Moon, and that we would end up destroying our own atmosphere due to changes on the Moon. Sorry to inform you, balanced, that it would make no difference whatsoever if the Western countries had bases in Muslim countries or not--the jihadists would still attack and subvert the free countries. They hate us for what we are-not just for what we do.

I suppose I am just one of those old "fuddy-duddies" who still believes in living the "10 Commandments" (not the "10 Suggestions")and still believes that "Pride Goeth before a Fall". It surprised me, at first, what Tiger had done, but upon second thought I was not at all surprised. Our society has become ever more permissive, and the "If it Feels Good, Do it" hippy philosophy has consumed even many of those who profess religious beliefs.
