The Constitution is just a quaint old document. We live in a dream. Neither you nor I nor anyone else will do anything about it. This is simply the natural human progression of government: dictatorial rule. Power will always seek to expand itself. Our "checks and balances" have to be imposed, they aren't automatic. Most people keep their heads down, their nose to the grindstone, and allow their elected representatives to "run" their government. Once those reps sell-out the party is over. The reps have sold out.... it's good to be King; it's even good to be a Prince; it's even good to work for either.
On the other hand you could by Hershey stock..... with lost sales to Hershey and Cadbury their profits should rise. The Mars family thinks this will get them an invite to the Xmas Party. Still need your chocolate fix? I recommend the Trader Joe's giant one pounders! And you can get them in all shades of chocolate with a variety of nut choices!
So you think that the candy bar issue has something to do with the Republicans and the number of military bases in Europe? So you think that if the size of the candy bar is reduced that will not only reduce the number of military bases in Europe but will also destroy the influence of the Republican Party? You go girl.... you go....

Who Are These Fat-Cat Few at the Top?

Two things: One, money and wealth are two different things; and two, neither is a zero-sum game. Both are "created" by individuals. Both can be easily destroyed by government. It's not where there is "X" amount, and you've had it long enough, let me have it awhile! It is government's Prime Directive to safeguard individuals and their wealth and thus safeguard the wealth of a nation.

We will not have the Rapture (economic salvation) until all the Infidels (and Republicans) are dead. Is this the argument the WH is putting forth?

America Becomes a Two-Class Society

H.G. Wells must have been prescient when he wrote The Time Machine. Into the future went his intrepid time traveler to eventually find the future: an ultimate two class system. The Morlock and the Eloi. The Morlock were a privileged class that were unassailable, living in their underground shelters; the Eloi, living on the surface provided sustenance; they were the Morlock's food.

This is the situation we now find ourselves in; the Morlock: unfireable public employees and members of powerful unions and so called "Public Servants" our elected and appointed overlords and the Eloi: the so called successful "citizen."
