Make Congress Vote on War on Iran

Amen. I'm more afraid of Obama than Iran.
Amen sister! And I personally find it intimidating. I'm a divorced male who loves a good blues band and the company of an intelligent, attractive woman, but often get the idea that eligible women are just looking to hook-up. My buddies love it that way. But it's a drag when you're hoping to meet a decent woman for something substantial and they're the ones in a hurry to hop in bed. Not to mention the incessant hissing sound coming from the ears of a liberal woman. Nothing but air up there. They want to know if you recycle and work out. I've actually quit looking. It's too confusing and problematic.

Is Tribalism the Future?

Roman kitten, you are wrong. We were there for that reason. Now we're there to give Obama his street creds as a (typically stupid liberal chicken) hawk so he can fool you twice in 2012. I was much more at ease being there to keep the oil flowing than I am for the sole purpose of reinflating Obama's flacid popularity. Too bad bull-horns don't win wars.

Many Americans would welcome that scenario. Give 'em the south and we'll keep the midwest. Their dollars can then be made in the tourism industry, which is about all they could do with the ambition they seem to have. Where do we sign?

Spreading Wealth the Right Way

Sorry Cal, bad idea. If a CEO cuts a few hundred million dollars of dead weight, they should get a bonus. That CEO may have saved all the rest of the remaining jobs in the company, a well as the company itself from going away for good. Even companies that are losing money may owe their survival to a smart CEO that keeps it afloat for a few years at a loss, so it can survive and thrive in future years and become profitable again. Some CEOs are tasked with the unpleasant duty of piloting a large ship through troubled financial times as a result of a presidents brain-dead economic policy. While piloting that ship, the wise CEO knows that it takes time for course corrections to be felt and seen. It takes experience and foresight and a calm,...

Bravo Walter! Well stated. People may want to cling to the past as an excuse for the present. But let's face it, if you can't make it in America, you can't make anywhere.

Japan: Just Not Funny

Honestly, I'm more surprised by all the outrage, than I am that these fools say the things they do without thinking. Even public figures with half a brain make the occasional lapse of taste or good judgement and stick their foot in their mouth. If I never heard Gottfried again, I wouldn't care, or fifty cent or whomever you'd wish plug in for the latest shallow, no-talent, celebrity of no consequence. I'd be more surprised if they didn't say something stupid or insensitive. The bigger is issue is that public is listening to them at all. But they are, and that is tragic.

Bill Kristol Must Resign

Spot on as usual Ann. What is going on with the men on our side of the aisle when they must routine be pointed and re-pointed in the right direction by our awesome conservative women? Coulter, Palin, Bachman, Brewer, all have to be tasked with pointing out the raisin sized nards on our boys. Steele has poor instincts in many areas but he is right about Obama's war. But the republicans wanted their own black man in the top slot to assuage some wrong-headed white guilt and now, surprise!- he's gone off the reservation. The RNC is whack. He was out of his depth from day one, but he's right on this. This is Obama's Vietnam. Steele needs to go for other reasons.

Marry me Ann! You're brilliant. You're beautiful. We'll make beautiful, brilliant children, I'll brush your hair and rub your feet every night. You'll want for nothing. I'll be your one man entourage. I'll leave my nets at once and follow you unto death. I love you Ann.

Tort Reform: Remedy or Red Herring?

Mechanical Man Wrote: Sep 13, 2009 11:12 AM
Spoken like a true liberal. A complete and utter disconnect between cause and effect. The simplest, quickest way to start driving costs downward is to dis incentivize lawsuits. First off no one should become an instant millionaire over a botched anything. Secondly, since it many times costs people nothing to bring suit against another because lawyers offer to take their fee from the awards, it has become a roll of the dice for these frivolous evil doers who have nothing on the line but their honor, which sadly for some is worth less than the money they stand to gain. So they take the stand and lie through their teeth, and insurance companies spend untold billions defending against and paying out on claims. If you lose you should pay the...
