As a conservative in my early 20's, it is frustrating being a part of this party. This website is a perfect example of the demographic problem. While the articles are well written & make logical arguments, go down to any comments section and all you see is the older generation making angry, rambling comments, making up names for politicians like we're on an elementary playground, and writing off my generation as "too stupid to care" (ahem, Hawker 1) Didn't your parents ever tell you that you catch more flies with honey that vinegar? As long as you all keep putting out dish after dish of vinegar, most of my generation is going to continue to be put off by your attitude, and ignore the ideas for this country that actually hold some weight.

Meagan3-"As a conservative in my early 20's" is an excellent lead-in to why I'm even bothering to respond. I do NOT, as a rule, watch Fox News with the exception of "Stossel", but my wife recorded an episode a Month or so ago--In that encounter-Jesse Waters (I believe that name belongs to a Producer of. among others, Mr O'Rielly) interview a bevy of lovely young Ladies, in/around your age group, on items pertaining to Politics and just basic personal value(s). I spent almost 4 years in the Republic of Vietnam in the 60's and I felt more at home there than I did listening to the " incoherent ranting" exhibited by most of those Folk. So as U may ascertain (if U care to) is that this "DIVIDE" or "vinegar" as U describe is felt pretty much

contd-across the board by, not only the Young, but by many of the "Old Geezers" as well. I like to think that people like me do, indeed, have a place in Modern Society. Could it be, I do Not? Just a thought!

I also try to avoid Fox News and most of the MSM, sticking mostly to online news sources (such as here and The Blaze). And I want to thank you for your service to this country in Vietnam. I think the frustration older conservatives feel being mostly written off by the young voter block this election is similar to the frustration I feel being written off by most of the older conservatives. Like the article states, there is a huge culture gap that needs to be addressed. I believe that there is a place in Modern Society for ANYONE that can adjust and put an effort into being a part of it. And I'm not talking about compromising good values or ideals, i'm simply asking you guys to share and teach those ideals and values in a better way.

Your "generation" just flushed out country down the Marxist toilet, and you want us to be nice to them about it?

You should feel ashamed of what your generation just did to this country, and they should feel ashamed too.

If thats being too blunt or mean, so be it, but I'm telling you the truth.

Correction: Our, not out

Just flushed "our" country down the Marxist toilet.

I have nothing to be ashamed of. I did not raise this generation, you did. Maybe if you had had a bit of foresight in '08, you would have realized that my generation is a big voting block, and you would have put a little bit of effort into appealing to them. The ideals of fiscal conservatism, morality, and freedom are what will save this country. But conservatives like you that just attack are part of the problem. I don't know if you're religious at all but the Bible taught me to treat others the way I want to be treated.
So do I want you to be nice? Yes. Buck up. Maybe have a little foresight this time around. If we do manage to make it through the next 4 years, we're going to need more people my age on our side.

I’m not much of a whiner, nor am I someone who makes predictions. I’d hoped for a Romney victory, though more for an Obama defeat. But that, when you think about it, was the problem. While there’s no doubt Romney would’ve been a much better President than the current occupant of that office, when people are presented with a choice between the vague they know and a vague they don’t know, they will pick what they know.

Romney offered a vision of American that was different, but didn’t spend a lot of time explaining how it would get to...
