Being willfully ignorant is dangerous. Unfortunately for America there is an entire political party that has brainwashed their followers to believe it is a benefit. With the CONServatives in Congress holding our economy hostage no amount of scolding by President Obama is going to have an impact on the GOTParty. The GOTParty has consistently protected the wealthy welfare given to the financial elite by Bush, while low and middle income Americans have suffered. It's a testament to the power of the CON propaganda machine that the low and middle income CON goes along with this redistribution of wealth from the bottom to the top. History will write of this group that at no time have so many done so much against their own best interests.

Cal Thomas you are disingenuous. If President Obama had refused to release more than 2 years of tax returns, while Willard released a decade's worth, you would be apoplectic . It matters because Willard is obviously hiding something in those returns he refuses to release. If he had honestly paid his taxes then he wouldn't have endured the scrutiny he has endured. If he had honestly paid his taxes then he wouldn't have allowed the focus of the election to move from the economy to his tax returns. He has done something so dishonest that he has conceded the election rather than release his returns. It's fine with me and the Democrats. We will gladly re-elect President Obama for another four years and give him a Congress for good measure

Absolutely. Why pay any taxes? We don't need roads, bridges, health care, social security, airports, FBI, CIA, all of these government agencies and functions don't have to be done. As long as there's money to pay the MIC then CONS don't need to pay any taxes. It would be fantastic if the CONS would follow the advise they were screaming at the hippies in the '60s and '70s. "America, love it or leave it." If you don't want to pay your taxes, which are your membership dues for living in the greatest country in the world, then why don't you leave and take your ilk with you?

Willard has neve paid 35% on any of the money he has made over the past 10 years because he has manipulated the system so all his money is capital gains. The argument that investment income has already been taxed once at the higher rate is false and deceitful. Using that logic employers shouldn't have to pay any taxes since the money they are paying their employees has already been taxed once. The capital gains tax law should be returned to the 35% rate it was before Bush started giving wealthy welfare to the financial elite. How do you CONS expect to fight your wars if you don't have anyone paying taxes? Oh yea the CONS will just get it from the middle class.

That's just not true. The Treasury Secretary isn't the leader of the free world. The President Of the United States is. Willard can never be trusted as President if he has to resort to deception to fulfill his pledges. As Willard said, if he doesn't take all the deductions he is legally then he is qualified to be President. Those were Willard's words. And now he must live by them. If Willard reduced his deductions to maintain a 13% tax rate on 50% of the returns he released, common sense says that he didn't bother on the returns he kept hidden.

The American society that CONS claim to love so much would cease to function if every one paid taxes the way Willard pays them. Willard is cheating every low and middle income earner when he doesn't pay his fair share. Willard uses charitable donations the way every CON uses them, as a means of reducing his taxes. His "charitable donations" have nothing to do with charity. If President Obama was as inept as the CONS believe him to be then why does Willard and Lyin have to resort to lies? It would seem that to defeat President Obama all Willard would have to do is lay out his record as President. Unfortunately for GOPers there are too many successes, despite the best efforts of the GOTParty to obstruct his efforts.

Harry's face is fine. Willard is the one with the egg on his face! (Actually it's more orange than yellow.) He says "trust me I paid 13% or more every year". But on 1 of the 2 returns he releases he doesn't take $2.5 million in deductions in order to maintain that 13%. This after saying that if he didn't take all his deductions then he isn't qualified to be President. He's right for once. He isn't qualified to be dog catcher. Just ask Seamus!

The 2011 tax return shows that he can't be trusted. In order to fulfill his claim that he paid "at least" 13% Willard didn't take $2.5 million in deductions. If he had taken all the deductions he was legally able to take he would have paid 10.4%. Willard says America should "trust" him, that he paid at least 13% for the past 20 years. Curious that in order to pay 13% he cut his deductions. Only fools would think he did the same on returns he didn't release. Willard doesn't give because he's generous, he gives so he can cut his taxes. 4 months ago he said if he didn't take all the deductions he was allowed to take by law then he wasn't qualified to be President. I agree with Willard in this case, he isn't qualified to be President.

It's a shame you aren't following your own meme. Fact is Willard has yet to focus on anything. It's all generalizations. Including his anti-Obama narrative. If President Obama is such a horrible President why does Willard have to constantly lie about what the President has done? Medicare, Welfare, Redistribution. Just to name 3 of the lies spread by Willard. Willard is a joke. His arrogance and sense of entitlement will defeat him. Luckily for America Willard is the worst candidate in modern history. The people who will vote Republican are voting against President Obama (to their own detriment). They aren't voting for Willard. People who vote for President Obama are voting for the President, not against Willard.

Sure Bill Gates travels to remote villages in Africa to hand deliver malaria netting so he can write it off on his taxes. Sorry, but Mr. Gates is a Liberal. He gives in order to benefit others, not himself.
