The trouble is, the president is correct. He can blame the Republicans, and everyone will believe him. What he said to Boehner will never be reported.

Yes but if the economy doesn't improve, and it won't, he can't blame Boehner or the GOP.....that nasty four year recession/depression will be attached to the messiah legacy.
