Since I'm not going to provide you with family documentation, let's drop that line and go back to the beginning of the article. If Gates (and Buffett) feel they should have been made to pay more taxes, why did they put their fortunes into tax-exempt foundations? It doesn't matter what other rich people were doing. Why did they decide to forgo taxes on their money?
