Selective is Barack Obama when envolking verses from the Bible, "Do unto others...," is his justification for condoning same gender marriage. Perhaps he should stay up a little later and read a tad more... same ses marriage or relation, sisters, brothers, mothers and fathers are of limits says, God. We are all sinners and we should not intimidate persons of alternative lifestyles, however, the sanctity of marriage is between one man and one woman. Lest we stray from God's Commandments, this U.S.A. is no more One Nation Under God.

1. "…check the immigration status of anyone they suspect…," not true. "Reasonable suspicion" comes after one is detained for violating any number of laws and the detainee cannot produce any valid picture ID. 2. The 14th Amendment was not intended to cover the "rights" of individuals who enter the U.S. illegally, it was written to ensure the citizenship rights of black slaves. The fact remains that job opportunity, birthright citizenship and entitlements it brings are the immigration issues that must be upgraded by law; nationalized E-Verify, abolition of birthright citizenship and the visa lottery, and chain-migration limited to nuclear family members only. Adios Linda; is this objective journalism or activism?

When you say America the “Promised Land,” are you referring to the U.S.A. or both the North and South American continents? And Jackson County, Missouri, the “Garden of Eden.” I do not believe there is any clarity on both statements for most members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. If Romney truly believes in his faith; I’m certain all of your questions can be answered at lds.org, etc. or in the 13 Articles of Faith for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The “Golden Tablets” or history of God’s work in the ‘new land’ and another testament to Jesus Christ has multiple authors, not unlike the Bible, one record of which was written by a man named Mormon, thus the abbreviation for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Joseph Smith was not a learned man. He must have been either brilliant or had the most vivid imagination ever seen to write such a record; or quite possibly it did come from God our Father. I suppose one would have to read a book or two of the 'Book of Mormon' to make an educated decision.

4. “Sharing an esoteric interest,” is a stretch of the imagination, considering the young men and women (missionaries) the Church sends throughout the world to share God and Jesus Christ’s message and plan for salvation. It’s totally transparent for anyone’s ears.
