Last night was the first time Obama couldn't be directly shielded by the press, and had to face Romney detailing his failure as president. There will be no let-up in reminding people that Obama is a failure. He was promoted beyond his level of competence, which makes him the new poster-child for The Peter Principle. He's finished.

Let's go in reverse order, from least to most alarming for Team Obama.  First up is the new daily tracking poll from Rasmussen, which shows Mitt Romney surging to a three-point lead nationwide:
