I agree, Steve. We all sin in one way or another and a person who unintentially gives in to temptation on a single occasion, then regrets it and repents and begs forgiveness from God and his/her spouse is not the same as a person who ON A CONTINUED AND REGULAR BASIS cheats and then, to compound his guilt, lies to eveyone about it. Neither is right but there IS a difference in my mind.
It finally happened......I finally have a column by Mr. Prager that I disagree with!! Maybe it is the male/female difference in perspective, but I think anyone who cheats on his spouse, especially repeatedly, lacks basic honesty and character. It doesn't mean they may not make a good president in a practical sense, but it does mean that they lack values, ethics and loyalty as well as self-discipline and honor. I just cannot trust a person like that. I railed against Bill Clinton for this reason and I would be a hypocrite if I did not hold any and all Republicans to the same standard. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

There is a difference between morally /socially WRONG and being legally so and having the government in any way prosecute OR persecute you for the former is disgraceful. Is the pastor a jerk? Absolutely. As a Christian, I cringe at what he did. HOWEVER, he did NOT break the laws of this country and the government should not "investigate" or "have hearings" because of his actions. The BEST thing we could do is totally ignore this publicity hog but that is not going to happen.

I just read Burt's post that his father passed away in 1969. I also misunderstood and thought it was two days ago but does it really matter WHEN he died? The tribute by Burt and the obvious pride he had in the man his father was is even more special because it remains in Burt's heart still these many years after his father's passing.
I have a leftist idiot relative who named his son Che after this despicable person. Isn't THAT something to be proud of? Needless to say, our family get togethers are interesting.

This is bunk. Come live in Texas fairly close to the border as I do and I'll bet he'll change his mind real quick! These people have NO idea what we are dealing with here. As an elderly female I would never walk our land without being armed.
I'm glad Mr. Prager has had such good experiences with Verizon because, sadly, I cannot say the same. We have Verizon both for our landline (no choice there) and our cell phones. Last month due to some work Verizon was doing on lines a couple of miles from our home, we lost our landline service and our cells do not work out in the boonies were we live so we were totally without phone service.

We were without service for FIVE DAYS before they finally repaired the problem.

I will agree with him about Amazon.com though. Because I HATE to shop (must not have that female shopping gene in my veins) I buy as much on line as I can and a lot of it comes from Amazon and I also have never had a problem.

I have never been...
Mr. Land:

Your comments here make me SO glad that after 50 years of being a Southern Baptist, on the staff at a Baptist church for most of my adult years, I can proudly claim that I am an ex-Baptist.

Stick to preaching to YOUR sheep and stay out of politics.
"Unless your wealthy, only a fool would be for this tax."

I am NOT wealthy but I support the Fair Tax 100% and I am NOT a fool! (At least I know that the proper word should be "you're" and not "your"!)

I once worked for a very wealthy man who provided me (and others) a very nice job and good salary and I have never had a POOR person do the same for me.

And as for the wealthy benefiting from the Fair Tax (and so what if they DO, my boss and his wife spent a whole heck of a lot of money than I did and they would be paying sales tax on all those purchases under the Fair Tax. I, on the other hand, would NOT be paying it because I don't spend much money other than for the basics, for which there is a rebate in the...
