"The Vatican supports universal healthcare (Obamacare)!" Yea, Whoohoo!, confetti. As usual, communication from the Vatican muddles whatever their message is supposed to be (maybe muddled?). While Archbishop Zimowski cautioned governments to respect the principle of 'subsidiarity' (tell that to Obama while you are suing him), that is not the message being promoted by all of media, collectivists, and liberal Catholics worldwide (see, "confetti"). The Archbishop also called on government to respect the legitimate autonomy of Church’s health care institutions and the freedom of conscience of Catholic healthcare workers. Didn't Hitler agree to all that back with the 1933 Concordat? How'd all that work out for the Church and humanity?

Despite the tribulations the American Catholic Church has been suffering with the Obama administration, the Vatican continues to pursue government-enforced universal healthcare. Its ambassador to the United Nations recently issued a statement encouraging all member nations to move toward a system of universal healthcare, implemented by government.

The Vatican said the Catholic Church is "committed to universal healthcare coverage" in a release Thursday that described a speech by one of its leaders before the World Health Assembly.
