The Lie Gets Worse

The Obama regime lied about the paternity of sequestration. It threatened people who publicized their lying. It lied about threatening them. Meanwhile, it lied about the timing of sequestration. (It was triggered more than a year ago, but took effect this year.) And it lied about the baneful effects of sequestration. To validate its lies, it tried to do as much harm as possible even before sequestration took effect. Republicans have been tripping over one another to undo the most dramatic effects of the administration's shakedown by giving it exactly what it wants -- more spending. The press screaming, the usual victims are whining, Republicans are cowering. . . .

By the time the next Crisis of the Century has played out -- Congress must pass yet another continuing resolution this month to keep the government from shutting down -- the administration will have emptied prisons, let airliners crash, and cut off arms shipments to our own military (but not to Syrian rebels) to extort more money from the public. Republicans will have caved again. And taxes and spending will be on the rise once more.

The whole damned bunch, D and R, are criminals who should be hanged. I except only Rand Paul, who's merely useless.

You picked a weird day to slam Rand Paul. He just spent 13 hours hammering the 0bama administration in an old school filibuster.

Rand Paul rocks!

Rand Paul should never have to resort to an antic to get attention, but I heard one line on the Noontime news about it, and that is all. Typical.
Hated the whole idea of filibuster until this Patriot made use of this.

WASHINGTON -- I do not know about you, but to me this sequestration imbroglio is getting interesting. Last week, I wrote of my surprise that a basic untruth was being repeated over and over again by the White House, to wit, that the Republicans were responsible for the monstrosity of sequestration. I wrote that, as I recalled it, sequestration was an idea introduced by the White House to coax the Republicans and the Democrats into a deal in the summer of 2011 to raise the ceiling on the national debt. Remember that deal? And another thing, there would be no tax...
