How was Call supposed to deliver the LDS vote? If people were going to vote for somebody based on church membership (a generally stupid idea) they would probably be voting for Romney anyway. I know that many Mormons were influenced by Romney being one of us (though I was never a big fan). But I highly doubt anybody cared about the religion of the state's party chairman.

Memo to the leaders of the GOP:

Wise up.

The dysfunction in the national GOP was on display in Colorado over the weekend; and oh, boy, what a mess.

If conservatives ever win an election again in Colorado it will be only by mistake. 

Incumbent chair, Ryan Call, was re-elected 272 votes to 158 over a well-known challenger who had previously served as chairman in one of the metro counties.

I know both men and took no part in the fight.
