Bad Guys' Lawyers

Checks and balances are the best control of corruption an abuse. I am a conservative because I believe in a limited government, where no one man can abuse the law without consequences. I am a defense attorney for the same reason. I respect the work that our police and prosecutors do, and the vast majority of them are honorable men and women trying to do their best. My job is to be a check by my mere presence and competence. My job is to make sure they are not tempted to be lazy, because they know that their work will be examined in the future. My job is simply to hold the government to its burden. By the way, in my current office of about 18 defense attorneys, the vast majority are more conservative than liberal.
