First of all, Obama ramped up the war in Afghanistan rather than pulling troops out. Second of all, Obama wanted to keep troops in Iraq longer. He withdrew them on Bush's timetable after he realized he couldn't prolong their stay. Thirdly, the reason that Iraq is so unstable is the fact that our invasion and overthrow of Saddam opened the nation up to radical factions who gained more power. Ron Paul warned of this. Sadly, he was not listened to.

Actually, Obama and Bush have more in common than Obama and Ron Paul. Even John McCain hinted at this when he said "I have more in common with President Obama than some people in my own party." Obama has shown that he is just another neocon interventionist. He has proven this by nearly invading Syria, ramping up the war in Afghanistan and now re-invading Iraq to deal with ISIS. Throw in the fact that Obama didn't want to withdraw troops from Iraq and eventually just went along with Bush's timetable and you have a full fledged establishment neocon.

How about no one is the "world cop" and countries solve their own problems.
So we fight them "over there" so we don't have to fight them "over here?" That is stupid.

Obama actually attempted to leave troops in Iraq longer than the Bush established deadline. Realizing he couldn't do it, he then abided by the Bush deadline. So all of the right wing people blaming Obama for withdrawing troops when he did are actually agreeing with his initial desires for that region and disagreeing with the timetable put in by Bush.

Rand Paul vs Marco Rubio

a) Paul does not want to legalize all drugs. Just lesson the penalties for marijuana possession and push it more to the state level. b) There is nothing isolationist about not wanting to invade and occupy every foreign nation that might be led by a less than admirable human being. Calling Rand Paul an "isolationist" is like calling your neighbor an isolationist for not breaking into your house.
