Hunter is on target. Liberals are accelerating their takeover of America precisely because they do not allow ANY dissent whatsoever. Conservatives do truly celebrate diversity because we respect the right of each individual, but this same individualism must be balance w/ working together. The huge array of primary candidates sent a clear message to the country that we are not all working together and we don't have a coherent message. I sincerely hope this past election was the wake up call that Conservatives needed. We must have positive proactive programs that reach out to everyone and show why conservative ideas succeed for everyone from single women to minorities.

King was speaking in term of race, but the same could be said of political ideology. Liberals, conservatives and every other point on the political spectrum used to co-exist fairly easily (with the exception of left-wing anarchists who don’t get along with anyone). But these days détente has given way to anger and open hostility.
