The fact is that homosexuality is a disordered lifestyle. As Buchanan said, as recently as 1973 the APA called it a mental disorder. Look around you. Nature and natural law are based on life sustaining life through predominately a male-female system, both in the plant and animal kingdoms. Homosexuality disrupts this natural order. Even its practioners attempt to live within that system as most homosexual couples have a "male" and a "female" role player, i.e., a masculine member and a feminine member. In their disorder they attempt to mimic order. It's really sad. And now we are all told to just nod our heads and say "How wonderful it all is". A culture that embraces, celebrates, and enforces disorder shall not thrive for long. ...

Right on point! There is no "fear factor" involved. It is simply a fact that some of us are apparently able to identify sin and others aren't. We will never (because we cannot) relinquish this position against sin. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that the practice (not the temptation) of homosexuality is sinful!

The Marketing of Evil

Jack, you have a profound ignorance of history and the role that Christianity has played in the advancement of the human condition and the alleviation of suffering. I am specifically referring to that all-time favorite whipping boy, the Catholic Church, and the role it has played in the development of higher education (the university system), not to mention in the fields of art and architecture, and medicine. But you're the enlightened Master of Reason. I've probably got this all wrong.

The Marketing of Evil

Jack: One of the main attributes of evil is its ability to deceive. One must not underestimate this "skill" of evil. Ms. Hagelin's essay was in part speaking to this. By letting down our guards and giving in to the many enticing lures of evil, we will eventually be made a fool at best (see Tiger Woods), or lose our lives at worst. [Lib at Heart: take note. You know your addiction to pornography is rotting you from within] Jack, we don't and cannot judge because only God has that right and dominion. But only an unwoken individual would not discriminate between what is false and true, evil and good, in this world.

In our diocese in Oklahoma, we had an actuarialist (If you want the facts, consult the insurance industry. They don't have a dog in the fight except for their money) address our parishes on the subject of sexual abuse of minors by adults. He informed us that the rate of reported incidences runs approximately 1% per year (of the gross population of the group) across all spectrums of groups, be they clergy, lay ministers, teachers, coaches, doctors, lawyers, journalists, politicians, etc. This applies to Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, (name your own religion here)or agnostics. It seems obvious to me that the focus on the RCC stems from a desire to destroy the RCC and/or focus on the group with the most money. To its credit, the RCC...
