It's too bad that some women feel they need to be in combat to validate themselves. The greatest role that women have is to stay at home and nurture their children so that the men in combat don't have to worry about their families. The reason men fight wars is to protect their families and their country. No, women are not the same as men and thank God. Both genders have their own strengths, and yes, weaknesses. A confident woman doesn't feel the need to compete with men. She knows who she is and what she contributes to society.

Male or female, those of us who've been around for a while can recall clearly the objectives of the feminist movement as it geared up in the early 1970s. Workplace fairness was the goal.

A lot of manufactured indignation attended the feminist rising; e. g, who says we have to wear bras?
