Who said that 250k means that you are a millionaire or billionaire - zippy? Wasn't me. But I do know that those making 250k or more can also afford to pay more in taxes. The child tax credit - cut in half - that was the idea of the republicans before they would raise the debt ceiling. Do your research

I know it sounds bad, but $250,000 is not that much if you live in certain areas of the country.

There are some couples both working...husband could be an attorney, wife could be a teacher and they could be barely making the $250,000.

I know people have no pity but the husband works 7 days a week, put himself through law school and is paying back $200,000 in student loans.

I don't see what is wrong with striving to be successful. Why are people punished for it?

Don't feel "punished" for making over 400k. I feel like I am one of the fortunate few who can make a change in our country - for the better.

Tell me what good it will do to hoard my money when 95% of the country goes to hell

Barackward Owebummer certainly failed massively at uniting the country, as well as getting jobs for the trillions he blew supposedly chasing them, failing to cut the deficit in half but tripling it instead, and the debt........ unreal... more than all previous presidents combined. How about the bankruptcy rates, home and business? Worst in history. Poverty rates? Record breakers. One big Owebummer. Failed leadership. Reid sitting on a stack of bills passed in the House he won't even let on the floor for discussion, let alone a vote, and no budget in over 3 years. Owebummer - failed leadership - zero executive experience for the job as Chief Executive, so no big surprise, folks.

Adn, dipshit, we are talking about PEOPLE'S money - money that belongs to them, not you or Owebummer.

People are watching Owebummer blow trillions on waste and corruption, so wanting to give him more to blow more........ screw you, creep.

Such an intelligent response.

Your money? Then quit driving on the highways or interstates in your state. Let's hope you don't need the services of FEMA. When it is time to file for SS - forget about it. When your Medicare card arrives, tear it up. See how far you get on "your money" supersam

So how did the last-ditch fiscal cliff meeting go this afternoon? Not great. President Obama again put forth the scaled-back version of the proposal he pitched last week.

A source familiar with the meeting told CNBC that Obama was not making a new offer; just laying out what he thinks can pass the House and Senate. That includes keeping the tax cut for those making up to $250,000 and an extension of unemployment insurance for 2 million people. He will then ask the participants what they are willing to support, and if they don't have a counterproposal that...
