After Romney made the statement, the next day I heard somewhere that PBS got 444 million dollars from the Federal Government in 2012. Do any of you know if it's true. I agree, if that is the kind of money the Feds are giving away, it should be cut as of yesterday. The left hates truth especially when it's not part of their ways to mislead America down the wrong path. Socialism are for those who wish to be social. Many of us like to be left alone entirely, especially when the Government begings sticking their noses into our very lives. God bless and keep up the great work Michelle.

http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/15561901-421/no-debate-about-it-big-bird-is-small-potatoes-when-it-comes-to-federal-budget.html is a news report claiming $445 million. It's likely a good number.

Liberals and other statists argue that it is nothing; a mere drop in the bucket. That's true. But it also isn't the government's money. It also isn't the role of government to fund Big Bird. The government has 100s or even 1000s of these things and in total it is REAL money.

A good executive -- Mitt is one -- knows that you put in place principles with no exceptions. He has the Bank of China test. Is it so important to fund Big Bird that the US borrow $156 million to do so?

There is a .gov site on there, and the Communists (muzzie loving) in Congress, have put in regulations to make sure that 40% of your Cable Package goes to funding these Propaganda Outlets.
Mitt Romney sure ruffled a lot of feathers over his proposal to eliminate taxpayer funding for government-sponsored TV. As soon as the GOP presidential candidate singled out PBS for cuts during the presidential debate in Denver, the hysterical squawking commenced.

Left-leaning celebrities immediately erupted on Twitter. "WOW!!! No PBS!! WTF how about cutting congress's stuff leave big bird alone," Whoopi Goldberg fumed. "Mitt is smirky, sweaty, indignant and smug with an unsettling hint of hysteria. And he wants to kill BIG BIRD," actress Olivia Wilde despaired. "Who picks on Big Bird!!! #bulliesthatswho," actress Taraji Henson chimed in.
