In response to:

Big Wind Boondoggle by Big-Spending Republicans

slk - You fail to get the fact that Senator Grassley's seat on the United States Senate Finance Committee OBLIGATES him to look at the bigger national picture of how these bogus "green" agendas (i.e. - corn ethanol & industrial wind) are causing both "pain at the pump" and "pain at the plug." When he votes as a member of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, it is his job to both consider, AND represent ALL Americans - not just the self-interests of Iowans who are making a living off sucking at the teat of Big Government corporate welfare, funded by ALL American taxpayers & ratepayers who are being VERY negatively impacted by the wind mess. It is Grassley's prime responsibility to represent ALL Americans or get off the Finance Committee.

Have to agree with Mary Kay and Jon -- Senator Grassley represents ALL of us by virtue of his seat on the Senate Finance Committee. Those are MY tax dollars he's throwing around -- and I'm tired of propping up an industry that doesn't make scientific or financial sense. Enough is enough.

Big-spending Republicans should be afraid following the upset victories by Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz in Texas on Tuesday, over the establishment candidate David Dewhurst, and Richard Mourdock, over six-term incumbent Richard Lugar, in Indiana on May 9. On Thursday, Washington Post editorial board member, Jonathan Capeheartsaid: “Folks might not like the Tea Party much. But that’s not stopping this loosely affiliated band of people fed up with government spending and deficits from sending like-minded souls to Congress.”
