I am a teacher like you and I come from a family of Spanish and Italian immigrants who came to this country with nothing but the clothes on their back...and as my dad says "just a few dollars and dreams" So, I don't need to prove to you. I put myself through an ivy league college, and graduate school, my parents helped what they could.... I worked on Wall Street and then went to school for a Masters in teaching....once I had put some money aside. No...I did make on my own. BIG TIME - But you are right. I had the support of two hard working strong parents..... Not the government. My father and mother never took a dime they didn't earn./ Nor have I. You are not even in my league. House Speaker John Boehner presented two options to his members today—to make an amendment that would add a package of spending cuts to the bill, an extremely risky move, or vote to adopt the deal and send it along to President Obama. After determining there wasn’t enough support to amend the legislation, which passed 89-8 in the Senate, the House is moving forward with an up-or-down vote tonight.

The decision to move ahead with the Senate bill — which allows tax rates to jump to 39.6 percent on income over $450,000 — came after House Republicans internally...
