Just $200. Long story to explain why. August 2009 and I believe the August before that, each child who received any form of public assistance, their parent or guardian was given, on their debit EBT card $200 extra dollars per child to buy school supplies. Well, if you had 5 kids, it was $1000 extra that month. 3 years later students are telling me THIS is the reason they and their parents love Obama. To be fair to them, they view this simply as "He Cares about us"...They don't understand the bigger picture. Needless to say, kids showed up in September of that year without even a pencil.....Teachers and the schools still had to supply. Not all of the kids, but many many of them.
