The Real Ron Paul Stands Up

Thank you for the honesty, it is a real breath of fresh air among all the fear mongering smog. So many folks buying into the propaganda, it's just plain creepy. "Oh my gosh, you have to vote for the demon or you'll end up with the devil, what's wrong with you nut job for thinking you can vote for a saint? You're insane!"

While that was an iImpressive use of propoganda techniques, you still missed a few. Bandwagon and "inevitable-victory" appeals attempt to persuade the target audience to join in and take the course of action that "everyone else is taking". Invites those not already on the bandwagon to join those already on the road to certain victory. Those already or at least partially on the bandwagon are reassured that staying aboard is their best course of action. Join the crowd technique reinforces people's natural desire to be on the winning side. This technique is used to convince the audience that a program is an expression of an irresistible mass movement and that it is in their best interest to join. "Naive" "Adult World"- you're getting there.

Dr. Paul has had strong supporters from coast to coast for many years, so you have no means of basing a general assessment for "most" of them. Propaganda that involves insinuating someone is crazy, is a common assault when there are no genuine character faults to highlight. Hypersensitivity is a very normal human response to repeated abuses. When you watch the clip of Rick Perry physically and verbally attacking Ron Paul, it may help you understand why his followers feel compelled to jump to his defense. Ron Paul himself uses limited ego defenses even while under direct assault. His character is beyond reproach. So those in the despised media and corrupt public service ring who attack him are making his support base grow larger daily.
The phrase "But of that day and hour knoweth no man" is a common Hebrew idiom for the Jewish holiday of "Rosh HaShanah".

Since our view of others says more about us that it does about those we are judging, it seems we all need a time out to do some soul searching. What are the specific qualities we demand from our public employees? Are we collectively superficial and shallow, focussed on the external appearances and valuing those with eloquent vocabularies or are we grown up yet and looking for those with self directed character? Do we as a whole want nice suits or demonstrated experience? Do we want law school graduates or private sector professionals? Someone who can talk for an hour and say nothing or a minute and say volumes? Book smarts or genuine wisdom and intuitive insight? The popular or the honest with strong convictions to moral values?
This is so sad. I had really hoped that Herman Cain was a legitimate contender. We already know that Perry and Romney are establishment stooges and really needed someone with genuinely positive character traits. It really doesn't matter what color a President is, purple with green poka dots would work. I don't want to see their mug everywhere, just the positive results of leadership and personal integrity. The current President has neither, so consequently he shows up on magazines, coffee cups, tee shirts, toy stores and at least three time in a recent movie as if he thinks he's competing with Jennifer Lopez in a beauty contest. Ego defenses and insignificant judgement of Perry say far more about Herman Cain than they do about Rick Perry.
Not everything evil comes from Oregon, Lars Larson (of Portland Oregon) Mr. Right on the Left coast national radio show host was talking about Eugene Mayor Kitty Peircy's issue with the pledge yesterday and Jay Bozievitch, Lane County Commissioner in Oregon has an interesting response on his Facebook site: The Pledge is asking for "We the People" to give allegiance to the government. It turns our Constitution upside down. Just as the original author of the Pledge wanted. The socialist minister Francis Bellamy wrote the Pledge to indoctrinate children into identifying with the State instead of the Constitution. It was part of of a socialist pamphlet "The Youth's Companion". It originally including instruction to perform an extending arm...
I heard about a similar problem in Eugene, Oregon recently and wonder why these folks wern't arrested for sex offenses against minors?

RIF - Reduction-In-Force = remove all the illegal hires from federal service, eliminate OPM and their "Hiring Alternatives" (in bed with the Dept. of Education to side step veteran's hiring preference for sworms of family/friends being hired through student positions and other "alternatives"). The sexing up and dumbing down of the work force has led to many over 50 being unemployed and having extreme difficulty finding a new line of work. Not to mention the health issues popping up at younger ages, there is no way the retirement age can be increased, there is currently a forced reduction in the average retirement age as many are being forced into early retirement after their unemployment benefits have been exausted. Eric Cantor has...
On camera President Obama signed an executive order for federal agencies to provide hiring preference to qualified veterans with honorable separations from active duty federal service. This was just for show purposes as there are already similar laws in place that are being ignored. But off camera, he has allowed agencies through OPM to hire friends and family into student programs, have you pay for their on-line college courses for a year or two and then direct appoint them to permanent positions well over the grade of most remaining veterans in federal service. When President Bush left office, only about 25% of federal employees were there through the public hiring process. Check out OPM job advertisements these days, I'm confident...
