It has been well established, even before the election of our President, that because of his misfortune of birth, he would be hated and feared. Some see him as evidence of diminishing white privilege, others are just the U.S.’s old garden variety racist, and believe the leader of our country should always be of the same race of the founding fathers. Whatever the case, the response is not difficult to understand, and equally it’s not unique, if we look back the current response is no different than the responses to the Emancipation Proclamation, Brown v. Board of Education, or 1964 Civil Rights Act; however, we adjusted to the changes as difficult as it was and we’ve moved forward – “change is easy, adjust is hard”, but we endure.

Tea Partiers a Delayed Bush Backlash

The reality was more evident for our blatant racist groups, when they correctly predicted that if Obama become President new membership would be off the charts—they seem to think they know hearts and true minds of their people, well it evident they were both right and wrong. Fortunately the majority of white America not racist, we all have our prejudice which are not solely based upon race.
While the Tea Party member are not as extreme as the Klans or some other White supremacy groups, they do share a few basic element of character, one being "Fear", fear of losing that white privilege, they've counted upon for generations. Another important element the Tea Party members share with other more aggressive white supremacy group is...

Don’t be obtuse, you are well aware of the reality of the “One drop rule” which was the legal barometer (since 1910) to determine if an individual was considered an African American. And even though the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Loving v. Virginia 1967 that the “one drop ruled” was unconstitutional, people are still influence by it; ironically even the Supreme Court allowed the “One drop rule” to stand 20 years later “1986, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed the one-drop rule to stand by refusing to hear a case against the state of Louisiana’s racial classification procedures as were applied to Susie Phipps.”
So you can make a argument supported by mathematical facts, to which I cannot dispute, but that’s not what a great many white...

I’m just wondering if you ever despised Bush?
All that hate is like cancer, it feeds on itself and eventually destroys the host, your only relief is to be honest with yourself and admit you are racist and proud of it; you may as well, you aren’t fooling anyone but yourself, the truth shall set you free. You can take solace in the fact that it’s not entirely your fault, you (like many others) have been conditioned to be racist, of course it was not the intent, but growing up in a society burden with racism, many of us were infected without ever knowing, or to what degree. Admittance of the problem put you a better position to solve it—if you want.
At any rate, your hatred is only a burden to you and those around you, it...

Since you are of no consequence, a mere sideline critic who’s words has yet to affect any major changes, I when your time come you will find as pleasure as you seem to find in ridiculing a individual who had the gut to at least try to make a difference. You, on the other hand has not been a judge, a politician, or leader in any form. You have no idea what it’s like to make tough decision when all the information is before you, but you and other columnist on TH always can criticize after the facts, and completely ignore the positive contribution made. You are a slave to your petty negative emotions, and unrelenting burden of jealousy. When your time comes, it will not even be worth stating “good riddance” because you haven’t made a...

More Post Racial Hum-bug

What we are experiencing now is not racism, base upon the belief of anatomical differences, which renders one group superior and the other inferior, what we are witnessing now is extreme prejudice for various reasons, but mainly fear. A fear of losing, power, a fear of losing the privilege enjoyed for centuries, they see our President as symbol of this lost. And some people are so delusional that they believe if African Americans continue to obtain leader ship positions in our society, they will pull the Hispanic in to give more power in numbers, and begin to exact revenge for past wrongs done to them. In an effort designed to fight back against the mythical tide of race dominance, we resurrect the past, and we see Confederate flags...

Our race or ethnicity is not really the issue; it’s merely an identifier of difference. Of course there was a time when people believed the myths and fictions that the African American possessed attribute which could only be found in their race. Some of the common ascribe fictional characteristics are: indolent, limited intelligence, uncontrollable sexual urges, thus a propensity to rape and kill when denied their desire. Darwin theory of the evolution of Man, confirmed racism as justifiable, and all throughout the 19th century and even today it has taught to generation that African American are on the lower rug of human development, nothing emphasize this point than Ota Benga story, where a human being was put on display at the...
Your argument is base on beliefs born of fear and hate, actually you make my point.
A cult leader is self appointed, we can hardly say that about our President, whether you wish to accept the reality of that is a personal matter, but the fact remain he was elected by the majority of the people. If we were to adhere to your interpretation of the President’s standing, we would have to assume all past Presidents were merely cult leaders, and you should know that’s not true. Therefore I employ you to response with some degree of substance; I have enough fear, and hate statements, I’m attempting to draw a conclusion to the opposition to our President, I don’t want to use what appears to be the obvious fear of diminishing white supremacy....

to be different, is really bad for our country, and Tiger's problems are the President's fault. And to remind you the majority of America, voted for our president, but if what you define "Majority" to mean the white race, than I'd say you are right on that score.
