In response to:

Obama Gives GOP a Bailout

Libertarians aren't my cup of tea, but sometimes they get it right. They don't have enough strength to form their own party so they try to identify with the GOP but I'm afraid they only cause major questions to form in the uninformeds minds. Stossel can be right sometimes, like O'Reilly, but he too is seeking the $ by being outlandish.

Stossel gets it right on some things. On other things he is hopelessly naive. He favors the total and complete privatization of all highways and roads for instance. Do you realize what a nightmare that would be?

I don't know, Roy ... a bit better than what we have now? You're assuming they wouldn't be regulated? As it is, the private sector actually does all the road construction as even government knows they are incompetent to do projects of that size and complexity.

I'm just imagining the tolls you would have to pay every 5 miles or so when you end up on someone else's road.

So, liberty bothers you as well as the democrats, does it Mary? What's "outlandish" about liberty?

Freedom is the greatest gift bestowed on us by our forefathers. We're squandering it--giving it away to charlatans who say they're "liberal", but who are in fact "despotic totalitarians".

Freedom requires great responsibility for oneself--and most democrats simply aren't up to that. They reject freedom in favor of "being looked after" by their all-knowing, all-powerful leaders. And that way, when their life turns out to be less than ideal, they can lay the blame upon others--never, ever taking responsibility for themselves.

Think about it, Mary--that's what liberals do each and every day. Are you like that Mary? I know I'm not.

There is nothing outlandish about liberty, Mary. I see no reason not to believe in it above all as far as politics and government is concerned. Enforced virtue is not virtue, merely obedience.

While fellow conservatives bash the president for telling Speaker of the House John Boehner that the country doesn’t have a spending problem, I offer Barack Obama another thank-you.

Just when I thought that the GOP’s own ineptitude was going to sink the party, the man-who-would-be-president proved once again that when it comes to being out of touch, you can’t get any better than the First Community Organizer.

Led by Barack Obama and the Democrats, Congress passed a budget plan that doesn’t even do what they said it would- keep taxes lower for anyone not a millionaire or billionaire.

So, now...
