What about military bases, large and small, in over 100 countries? What about payments to the united nations? What about 'foreign aid', for heaven's sake? Why doesn't anybody suggest cutting these areas? Why talk about reducing expenditures for posts and bases inside the country and ignore all the ones in other countries? Why only look at social security and medicare when most of the people using them paid into them their entire working life? It's the criminals in congress (con - con artists) who spent all the money in the social security trust fund and left it empty with a bunch of iou's. Eliminate some of the departments that have obviously done no good; like dept of education and the dept of energy. Good grief!

Let's not forget that most folks on medicare now have been paying medicare premiums along with social security payments pretty much their entire working lives. If you add up all the years of paying into medicare ( while still paying their own private medical insurance) and include that total with the 120/mo currently being paid, I'd say they've pretty much got it covered.

I was thinking the same thing. Best not to use the Old Testament. After all, Jesus Christ was the end of the law for all them that believe. We are not under OT law anymore. The only thing the New Testament says (as far as I can tell) about homosexuality is in Romans. If the 'gay' folks would stick to what they originally said they wanted about 20 years ago, to be left alone especially in the bedroom, there would be no problem. It's not 'less and less'; it's 'fewer and fewer'. I can't understand why otherwise intelligent people don't know when to use 'less' and when to use 'fewer'. i.e. I have less money than you. I have fewer quarters than you. See the difference?
