Don't Call Them Progressives

Just research the history of the Progressive Movement, and you will wonder why anyone ever called them anything else. If anything, calling themselves "Liberals" was an attempt to mask who they truly are. Between Liberals and Progressives, I find Progressives to be much more frightening (tending to lean towards Marxism, as opposed to mere socialism).

Can't KP get a gig at Kos or HuffPo? She would fit in much better on either of those sites.

An Olympics We Can Believe In

George W. Bush did indeed show insufficient concern while the New Orleans area was under water. The partisan Right gave him a pass and made excuses.

Now Obama is doing the same thing with regard to the troops in Afghanistan, and the Left gives him a pass.

For the sake of our country, could we all (Left and Right, Dems and GOP) leave our partisan politics at the door and dare to hold the President accountable -- even when (or if) he is "our guy"?
'Bout time.

Before 1-20-09 Dissent was patriotic.

After 1-20-09 Dissent is racism.

"A better point may be try and win an election with the South. Notice Kathleen pointed out that the WORST of the South was representing the Republican Party. Guess what folks your white folks only strategy did not work last time nor will it work this time. As a Southern conservative Mary perhaps shame should be your emotion."

Nope, I'm not ashamed. The Old South may not have been right in their dealing with civil rights issues in the past, but things have changed. I prefer to look forward rather than stay mired in the mistakes of the past. Your side needs to stop punishing white folks for past mistakes with your "whites need not apply" strategies. It's time we all lived together.

I find it offensive that Townhall.com continues to publish Kathleen Parker's crap. Especially this one. Newsflash to conservatives: try winning an election without the South. Is New York, California, Massachusetts and Vermont going to carry you in 2010 and beyond?? Shame on you, Townhall.com Kathleen Parker is better suited to HuffPo than this site.
