As someone old enough to remember I can say that Joe McArthy was indeed an alchoholic ,semi deranged menace. He had no regard for anyone who did not kowtow to his rantings and showed a nearly total disregard for basic justice. We conservatives should defend this blustery fool. We do so to our detriment.
