I have always held that, rather than cut taxes, we should cut politicians' tongues. Without a tongue, a politician is impotent and unable to peddle the vaporous snake oil that is their stock in trade. Another solution might be to cut politicians' tubes, thus preventing them from consummating the act of procreation. In time, the inclination for narcissistic self-absorption and a lack of morals, together with a stunning inability to perform cogent thought, might disappear from the race. If John Lennon had really been on the ball, the words of his famous song might have begun "Imagine there's no politicians, it's easy if you try..."
