The point is that the bill presented was a sham. Obama stated that he would vote for a bill that was not a sham. The bill presented did nothing to protect children born alive. The intent was to prevent abortions. Obama would have voted for a bill that actually protected children born alive-but the far right wing fringe would not allow such a bill to be presented.

The bottom line is that Obama does not support or promote late term abortions. Neither do I. The fact is that abortions have declined under the Obama administration. I would think that this is a good thing. None of the recent Republican presidents did anything to reduce abortions. Obama has-by making birth control easier to get, the demand for abortions has declined. Those are the simple facts. I know that some believe that birth control is somehow the same as abortion-but is isn't. The facts are the facts. You have the right to your own opinion-but not your own facts.
