Totally agree. Maybe Scarborough really wrote this article and just put Jonah's name on it. Or did Jonah drink the same kool-aid that causes conservatives to cave and flip-flop, like governor Rick Scott in Florida who adamantly opposed Obamacare before he accepted it? Snap out of it Jonah, don't let your eyes glaze over as you delude yourself into believing we can all just "get along". Liberalism is a cancer that destroys whatever it touches, and you of all people know that. Go re-read your book, why don't you! There are rights and wrongs in life, and if you begin to accept some of the wrongs into your heart then you have already lost the battle, the war and your soul.
What now? We continue the fight, that's what. We educate the public, in any way we can, in conservative principles and values. Our own party no longer represents conservatism so we need to purge it of the spineless weasels and RINOs who are running it. Does it look like we're losing the war on all fronts? Yes, but that is not a reason to throw in the towel. America is the last hope for liberty; there is no place else in the world to go, so conservatives must take action: Write letters to your politicians, write a column for your local neighborhood paper, show up at town hall meetings and challenge your representatives in person, face-to-face. Teach them where they are going wrong, or they will continue to vote for laws that destroy America.

The Economy in 2015 Might Shock You

Why is it so hard to understand and explain the Fair Tax plan? It is not a VAT that is paid IN ADDITION to current taxes, it is a consumption tax that REPLACES all current taxes! This means no payroll tax, no social security tax, no any tax period! You get to keep your ENTIRE PAYCHECK and only pay tax on the purchase of new goods and services. It doesn't get any simpler, and the key feature is that it puts the power of taxation in the hands of the consumer, NOT the politician. It also ensures that everybody pays SOMETHING, not like the current system where 47% of taxpayers pay NOTHING in federal taxes and the rest of us have to support them. That's insane, and it has to stop or we're doomed.
Paul Rondeau is absolutely right, a multitude of our constitutional rights are under attack or have already been repealed. The answer? Don't take it sitting down. Don't just complain about it, do something to help. Educate your friends, neighbors and family in conservative and constitutional principles. Watch what your representatives in Congress are doing and if they are violating the Constitution, call their office, or show up in person. Go to one of their local public events and tell them they are violating their oath of office, and that you will work to fire them. Then do exactly that, and support those who really will stand up for the Constitution. TAKE ACTION. Don't just talk and complain. Take action before it is too late.
Your proof is in Article 2 Section 1. There are two conditions for being president: (1) "natural born Citizen", or (2) Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution. What you are doing is removing the phrase "at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution". You cannot simply ignore words that are inconvenient. Since anyone under condition (2) is now presumably dead, that leaves "natural born Citizen", and the 14th Amendment does not define that term.
Rubio's conservative beliefs may be unimpeachable, but his voting record is not. He violated his oath to defend the constitution by voting in 2011 for the blatantly unconstitutional S. 23 (Patent Reform Act). Why do we continue to uphold representatives who violate the US Constitution????? This is why we are in the mess we're in right now. Stop looking at what politicians say, look at what they DO. Markco Rubio has harmed this country by helping to destroy a part of the constitution, and Matt thinks he should be Vice President? I don't think so.
