Many Democrats and even some Republicans were aghast at Eastwood's bit of ad lib at the RNC. But Romney immediately afterward thanked Eastwood for speaking. Romney recognized Eastwoood's presentation for the brilliant monologue that it was. Art reflects life. Eastwood's monolgue was a precursor of the drubbing Romney gave Obama on Wednesday night. I think Romney has good instincts.
