I was about to post that this column is another reminder of all the good or great ideas that never seem to make it to fruition so what's the use when I read the post by Hank8 down the list. If we don't continue to make the voice of truth heard, mental midgets like him will fill in the gap. Wonder how many hundreds of millions of Americans are greatful for our military keeping the fight on their shores Hanky.

The problem is the brainwashing of people locked in to political parties instead of making their own minds up. These facts prove criminal actions but what's the first question people would ask? "Where did you hear that?" and then judge the information from which side of the fence the news came from. We should be judging our leaders by the outcome of their decisions albeit Reagan, Clinton, Bush or Obama.

Harry, God has been telling us to repent since He walked the earth in the form of a man, Jesus Christ. The Republicans don't have a belief system, people do. Neither Democrat nor Republican (nor any other party) has a spiritual stance in their party platforms. I'm sorry you've taken the liberal stance while trying to twist scripture to fit it. Instead, read scripture and try to understand what its message is not infuse your understanding into it. And your saying that increasing temp.s are not possible is so naive. Do a little research about volcanos and shifting jet streams thoughout time (to name two) and see what our planet has done on its own.

Ken, if the title to your article doesn't make it clear, I don't know what will. We've got to get rid of this political "race" of people that think they have to follow their own "kind". I would bet my life that there are a large number of Democrats that believe marriage should be between a man and a woman but are afraid to vote outside their box.

I agree 100%. I just wish the media would stop grouping public and private unions together as if they're the same. As a union carpenter, MY pay is deducted to pay for MY health and welfare. In a public union, OUR taxes pay for theirs.

I agree partly Joycey but I would say social development STARTS in the family. If it were restricted to just the family they wouldn't be prepared to interact in the rest of society. But, a good foundation learned at home will prepare kids for what's out there when parents, or siblings, aren't around. Of course the first element outside the home is the neighborhood. If your neighbors are raising troublemakers, that makes a parents job that much harder.

As an off and on member of the carpenter's union, I wholeheartedly agree. I HATE how public unions and private unions are lumped together when there's a discussion about unions. Private union members pay for their own health and welfare, through payroll deductions of their own wages. Public union members have taxes paying for theirs! ABOLISH PUBLIC UNIONS NOW!!
