Why would football coaches be afraid of being labeled "anti-gay"? That makes absolutely no sense. Brown's (and apparently Limbaugh's) obsession with this meme is really foolish. Sexual abuse of children happens with both genders and certainly across all political affiliations. That's one of the main reasons why experts in the field, which Brown most certainly is not, theorize pederasty has as much to do with power in relationships as it does "sexual attraction," which of course is a very complex thing on its own. Bottom line: folks didn't report this pattern because they were afraid of Paterno and "the institution" that is Penn State football; not because of a menacing, powerful "gay lobby."
I love it when "writers" at TH don't bother with a single word and just post video clips on their "contributions." If "writers" like Pavlich aren't also coding the page, what are you paying them for, Benson?
Is that a threat?

Why do I get the feeling that the modern "conservative" movement is simply an extended tout for gold?

Welcome to the fact-free zone known as TH. The CRA had nothing whatsoever to do with the bursting of the housing bubble: lax government oversight had everything to do with it.
Provided the pipeline is not part of it.

Joe Biden: Taliban is Not Our Enemy

Pavlich, is this the best you got? Holy smokes, woman: even if you attempted to analyze the bit you cite here instead of the longer, more interesting interview--which you haven't--how can you fault Biden's comment? It should be patently obvious that the Taliban is not our enemy: al Qaeda is. So, apparently you didn't even read the statement. Let me repeat the second phrase you quote, which appears to have completely escaped you: "If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us." Right now, the Taliban is in zero position to do that. To argue that they are directly contradicts our generals.

"Decided"? Are you quoting me? I didn't use that word. Are you referring to the many SCOTUS rulings that have declared the Constitution does indeed mean that government cannot promote any particular religion on government premises? That's not in question, friend.
