I have to disagree with the esteemed author on the point of Liberty arising out of Christian faith. The liberties and freedoms of our secular government spring from an understanding of Natural Law. See John Locke's treatises of government. We are very fortunate to have had in our founders a cadre of men with immediate experience in many forms of government and many religions. Nevertheless, I agree with the rest. I rue the continuing assaults against Christianity. And I recognize and oppose the dangers (and foolishness) of politically correct acceptance of ideologies that are subversive and destructive of our core freedoms and liberties.

I have to object to your characterization of Jefferson. He and Franklin and others carried on correspondence with Muslim leaders and Imams, inviting them to speak and sermonize in the New World. In fact, they were hopeful of their participation and contributions to this country. I object as well to what you intend to set your limits upon. I actively oppose adoption of Shariah by any US government authorities, but I see the US as a land of liberty and opportunity for all, and intend it to stay that way.
