So chicken Little is alive and well. I'll keep saying this, until everyone excepts the truth of it: Guns don't kill People, people missusing Gus kill People. There isn't a Gun that exists today that freely decides that "Today, I'm going to go oud and Kill people, because I hate them). or for any other reason either. Troubled people make these decisions. Confiscating our guns won't solve the problem. Stopping such criminals before they do this is the problem. And no, I don't know how to do that. I'll leave it to minds which are (hopefully) wiser than mine.

The government routinely sings this song as it recognizes and seeks to support certain relationships based on their uniqueness, their distinctive purpose, or their benefit to society.
