con't remake this country into one that has limited freedoms and limits people ability to succeed.
No matter how many times progressives are wrong IE failed NYC bombing, AZ shooting at Giffords rally, .... Boston bombing the media continues to drag out the tired refrain that right wing groups could be responsible. It is clear the elitist and progressives are at war with conservatives and it is time we come together to counter the constant attacks. Instead it seems like we look for perfect candidates and if they don't fit every position we hold many refuse to vote for them while the progressives win the elections. If we don't figure this out we will destroy this country. Work hard to get the right candidates up against the progressives but when we don't get our candidate nominated vote for the better candidate before progressives

You need to improve your reading comprehensiuon as Kurt clearly states that even so called conservatives that stay in DC long enough become part of the ruling elite thinking they are smarter than the rest of us. It is just a condition of progressives that see themselves as smarter than the average bear despite evidence to the contrary.

The Budget Priorities of Democrats

Put effort to help the poor in one program so they get one check and need to only satisfy one agency. Instead of collecting from a number of programs IE Welfare, WIC, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc the families would get one check to use for their housing, food, transporation, and medical only. Add this change to the ones you outlined Mike and the gov't will be well on its way to a balanced budget. Then they just need to open up the oil and natural gas fields so employment shoots up; with the added tax revenues and reduced demand for poor care we would have a balanced budget.
Something always left out when a discussion about men being the sole worker in a family not working any more ignores the change in what is expected. In 1960 that family lived in a 900 sq ft home with one bathroom, no central air, no internet hook-up, only one car, no cable TV, no cell phone plans, etc. How much is the problem low wages and how much is due to increased expectation?
What an idiotic statement, Rubio didn't say don't pass a law because the criminals won't obey. He said the criminals are the problem with gun deaths in this country not law abiding citizens [law abiding citizens can be the problem IE car deaths so laws setting limits work in that case]. Since the problem with with gun deaths is overwhelmingly due to criminals any bill not focused on the criminals are pointless and would only restrict legal gun owners.
You need to read Rubio's plan as he says close the border first. Set up worker programs and make the ones wanting citizenship move to the end of the line only becoming citizens after paying all back taxes, paying a penalty, and waiting 10 years for citizenship. This is not amnesty and is the same plan Rand Paul just endorsed.
California elected two Republican Govenors in the decade before electing Jerry Brown this time.
It would be a wasted effort because the House can only bring charges, it is the Senate that prosecutes the President and Harry Reid will never allow that. So they choose to not waste their time on something that can not succeed. If we can get a majority in the Senate then it will be a possibility.

The partisanship is in your mind and the way you view the world not in the article. It has been a decade since the war started and you are still living in the past.

The difference that you can't see is with Iraq a gov't was formed first then people voted to put in representatives. With Arab spring the gov'ts have been overthrown with people taking over controlling the elections. Part two are you ever going to give up on the past and think about today as we can't change the past but can change how we do things now.
