The real scandal of "Iran Contra" was a Democratic Congress gone so radically partisan it tried to criminalize the normal Cold War covert operations (made much harder since Jimmuh Cahtuh helped topple the Shah & we had to work w/ the mullahs) with the Boland Amendment & openly brazenly support the USSR & Castro.

The only worthwhile thing about the relentless flogging of "Iran Contra" in RR's 2nd term were the pix of Fawn Hall in the WaPo. If "Iran Contra" deserved so much as a 2nd glance, Operation Fast & Furious calls for mass firings, & a long perp walk for Eric Holder, his top people, & his boss.
