I think Mr. Deace has a lot of nerve describing Mitt Romney as a "human etch-a-sketch, a soul-less technocrat", and "a man with no principles". Those are extremely judgmental, demeaning, and harsh comments towards a good, decent, loving family man who has done absolutely nothing wrong or hurtful towards Mr. Deace individually or Americans in general. These are exactly the same descriptions that Democrat operatives use to describe Governor Romney. Whose side are you on, Mr. Deace, when you use such nasty and derogatory words to describe your own party's presumptive candidate? Disagree with his stances and words if you want, but don't make such impossible conclusions about his inner being. I doubt you have such special powers.

If Not Romney, Who? If Not Now, When

Thanks for your support of Romney. Please note that it was Brigham Young, second President of the Church, not Joseph Smith, who thought that blacks had the mark of Cain and should not receive the Priesthood.

Why should we put any stock in a column written by an anonymous author (not courageous enough to give us his name) who only criticizes a given candidate and doesn't recommend any particular alternate? All candidates are flawed because we only have human ones. Since this anonymous author is unhappy with all of the Republican candidates, then perhaps he should run his own campaign for POTUS. He is probably the only candidate that he himself would be completely happy with.
Why should we take seriously the words of a man comparing Islam and Mormonism when that very same man is self-described as "founding rector of The Church of the Apostles"? Just like Muhammad and Joseph Smith, Michael Youssef apparently looked at all the available religions of his day, found them all lacking in something, and decided to start his own church. This sounds like hypocrisy to me! Additionally, I do not appreciate or put stock in any person who is not a member of a given religion telling us what the adherents of said religion believe. Mr. Youssef, not being a Mormon himself, gets so many theological points about the faith wrong that the entire article and his conclusions are all made completely worthless.
