The concept of women serving in combat roles is dangerously naive and fatally flawed. It is a folly of monumental proportion. The military is not an "employer" and combat functions are not "jobs." Our military exists for the purpose of closing with and destroying our enemies, which is probably the most difficult, physically demanding challenge we ever face. If we field women in combat roles, the combat effectiveness of their units will be compromised. They will be defeated and killed in ways more horrendous than you can imagine. Our nation's security will consequently be compromised. This is not about a sorority pledge, it is about the very survival of our nation.
