Go back to the first time God spoke to Abram. What did God promise Abram when he obediently and faithfully left his family and home for the land God had given him? Genesis 12 " Go forth from your country ...to the land which I will show you; And I will make you a great nation...I will bless those who bless you and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." It was God's intention to use Abraham and his descendants to bless the whole world. Through Messiah.

Regardless of the contorted thinking of bigdaddy, when I repeatedly read on postings that "I know what is right and wrong without God or the Bible" I know that they have been influenced greatly by Judeo-Christian influences but give no awareness or credit to it. Thank you God who uses the Jews.

which jews are those that you are thanking God for? the jews who have absolute control of the pornography industry? who openly declare they spread their filth out of hatred of Christianity? or the jews who control hollywood who has made every movie in the last 40 years have the actors say the name of Jesus Christ as a curse word? perhaps it's the jews of the aclu who have erased Christianity from our childrens schools? or the well over 90 percent of jewish americans who vote for communist democrats and the destruction of our constitution, open borders, gun control, and abortion on demand? there is no greater enemy to Christ's church on earth. God can see the truth ofr that, even if the blind leading the blind can't.

God is sovereign, your importance in saving Christ's church is exaggerated and not required, actually. It is because we are all so blind that we can only count on God's sight and should rather trust and obey Him than go off on a vain tangent.

If God's plan were for the Jews/Israel to be perfectly holy, then there would be no need of Christians at all.
ReddestNeck Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 1:53 AM
There would be need of Christ. Jews in Israel were saved on the basis not of their works but upon the basis of their faith in God as they knew Him and of what the Christ would do.

How about the race that will end up becoming all believers no matter how wicked their forefathers got?

Cheese LOUISE! Some people can't believe a very simple biblical promise.

Jesus knew what he was taking about when he said people would be led astray in the last days. never before in history has there been a more evil generation. the fact that you think because somebody is jewish they should be protected despite the fact that they are the driving force in the eadication of Christianity is mind boggling. Christ declared it best when he called it the synagogue of satan. that is your true church. the fale prophets came and led astray the faithful, just as he foretold. the number of the beast is the six pointed star of david that you worship. six points, six triangles, six sides to the inner hex. the israelites were driven from their homeland for rejecting the Son of God. they still reject him.

BIGDADDY: Sinners battling sinners makes no sense. Whatever bad you have to say about them hey have plenty to say about you. How convenient to you is your thinking. I on the other hand wish to thank God for all He has done for me, a sinner, and thus can be more compassionate, empathetic - loving twoards others who are not strong and righteous like you but weak and imperfect like me.

by defending the very people who destroy Christ's children here on earth you are serving your father the devil. he warned us about the likes of you and how at the time of judgement you will say to him Lord Lord, and he will say depart from me because i never knew you. if you think you can reach heaven without speaking the truth to those who need to hear it, no matter how unpopular, then you truly are blind. too many Christians use pre ordained scripture as an excuse for lazyness. he told us to preach his gospel to the world, not lie to the jews or any other of his children by telling them that because of their gene pool they don't have to come to Christ.

bigdaddy-----no one said that the Jewish people did not have to come to Christ in order to be saved.

We are saying the Jewish people will come to Christ in the last days.

The Jews are God's chosen people. But they must still come to Faith in Messiah in order to be saved. The miracle is that we gentiles can also come to Christ and be grafted in. We are a part of God's first promise to Abraham. Through his seed the whole world would be blessed. It was God's intention to save the whole world from the beginning using Abraham's descendants. Through the Messiah. The apostles were all Jewish. Most of the first Christians were Jewish. Remember, first for the Jew and then for the Gentile.

Your information is wrong.

man, really? aren't you supposed to read the WHOLE bible? why do you israel worshippers only spout the same slogans over and over? the book of genesis is followed by a lot of other books. the israel he is talking about in genesis BETRAYED him and his only begotten son. do you really think GOD will bless a people who hates Jesus Christ? do you even know what it says, in the jews most holy book the talmud, about JESUS CHRIST? google it marie. israel made it a law that if a Christian tries to convert a jew they will inprison them or deport them. would GOD bless that? we are giving israel everything, are we being blessed? he is cursing us for betraying him marie. you have been misled.
rmccarthy Wrote: Feb 09, 2013 12:58 PM
The Law convicts us all and most of what is honestly reported in the Old Testament is to be avoided - it's a great lesson that Jesus explained very well. Thank you Jesus.
Joycey Wrote: Feb 09, 2013 3:12 PM
bd the Bible is complete. The Holy Scriptures are all in agreement. There is no contradiction.
Joycey Wrote: Feb 09, 2013 3:13 PM
Early believers used the Old Testament and letters from the apostles.

My Savior was a Jewish carpenter. I'm a Protestant, but I'd be careful about bad mouthing God's Chosen People.
rmccarthy Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 12:40 AM
Not only that but the more you bad mouth anything, the less you understand and obey God.
ReddestNeck Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 1:49 AM
The calling and the gifts of God are irrevocable. If He says he's going to bless Israel, then He is going to find a way of doing it. Eventually a time will come when all Israel will become believers. God knows that because He sees to infinity. We can't and so all we see are unbelievers (mostly). Trust God, that He is getting it right when He is blessing Israel. (And why would there be ANY Jewish Christians if the crowd calling for the crucifixion spoke for all Jews?)
ReddestNeck Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 1:51 AM
If "bad mouth" means to justly criticize, you're wrong. However criticizing someone doesn't equate to telling them that no hope is available for them.
rmccarthy Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 2:00 AM
Nobody speaks for all Jews or for all Christians and few are those on the correct path however those on the wrong one might change.
comsense08 Wrote: Feb 10, 2013 8:28 AM
bigdaddy, it's obvious you have not read, nor understand the Bible. God chose Israel as His people. Israel cannot change that. God, being Holy and faithful will never back out on His oath, regardless of what the nation of Israel does. Now the nation may be allowed to suffer for it's mistakes, and it has many times in history, but Jews will ALWAYS be God's chosen people. The world might best be served to realize and remember that when thet threaten to "wipe them off the face of the earth". End result might be different than expected. Just read where it is on this earth Christ will return when does. It's aint Europe or the US!

You miss everything else. Like the prophecies that promise that Israel will be restored to the jews. God keeps His promises, even when Man does not. You miss that the third Temple must be built, the prophecies that Jesus will rule from Jerusalem. That all the Jews will accept the Lord. Israel will never fall. Ekz. 37-38 speaks not only of the rebirth of the nation of Israel, but what happens to the present-day nations when they go against her. And, while we are googling, see what happens everytime America screws over Israel: America and Israel and Disasters

Sports Illustrated has come to my mailbox for nearly 40 years. I hope it comes for 40 more. But I also hope whomever is assigning the stories in the future begins to think more about the readers than their political and social agendas.

Super Bowl week featured a cover of a praying Ray Lewis rising from the water, and a cover story by New York Times’ religion columnist Mark Oppenheimer on Christians in the NFL. The story was enough to cause PJMedia writer Andrew Klavan to declare he would not renew his SI subscription, and most serious Christian...
