There is a lesson to learn for women in this. DO NOT LET YOUR HUSBAND WORK CLOSELY WITH ANOTHER WOMAN. They do not have to be good or bad people. You are just putting yourself in the way of temptation. You are just asking for trouble.

That is so true. How many men have been in close contact with women in working situations who end up having affairs? Christian men should never be put in that situation. I know of one military man who refused to work alone with a woman in very close quarters because of the temptations that would be involved. The best man cannot withstand a woman determined to get close to him. We women can be very determined when we want to be. You men are weak, sorry to say. I would hope my husband would be faithful always, but if put in a very intimate situation, I can't be sure he wouldn't succumb if a woman pushed herself on him.

Gimme a break ladies, I've turned down more than I ever got and I got a lot when I was single. Some men cheat for sure, why? only they know why, but there isn't a woman alive that could get me to disturb what my bride and I have built over our 25 years together.

Are you bragging or complaining? So women were throwing themselves at you. You must have been something.

Oh to be sure...
There's not a man out there who can think with the brain in his skull over the brain in his pants.

I guess I am just too trusting when it comes to men & their sense of honor.

Men are weak. And in the society we live in now where social morals are not as important to some, there are many more temptations. I have seen men with their wives ogling other women. It's pathetic. General Patraeus, who should have known the dangers, and being in the public eye as he was, showed complete stupidity in his actions. One wonders if this woman wasn't a plant to entice the general. Even though she was writing a book about him, she could have been put there for a reason. I'm sorry, this administration has made me very suspicious of anything that happens to protect the president.

Amy DB writes: I guess I am just too trusting when it comes to men & their sense of honor. Does that mean you don't trust womyn and their sense of honor?

And katepatate thinks: "Men are weak." I guess that is why they are so easily overwhelmed by the weaker sex. Confusion, confusion. Now I don't know which sex is the weaker.

All I know is: "It takes two to tango, two to tango. Two to really get feeling of romance." I have never heard of a man in a high place having an affair with himself. Well, maybe one.

David Petraeus cited an ‘extramarital affair’ as the reason for resigning from his position as director of the CIA. A lot of questions are being thrown around tonight, however, about the timing of this bombshell after learning that he was supposed to testify before Congress next week on Benghazi. Is there a connection here or is it really about the affair? More from NBC on the latter:

Officials told The Associated Press that information about the affair surfaced over the course of an FBI probe. Meanwhile, law enforcement sources told NBC News that the FBI...
